The project is located in The Town of Huan Feng, Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, with a total investment of 7.6 billion CNY. The project was to build two 660,000 kW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power units in China by shutting down the original 880,000 kW small thermal power units. The construction scope of section B of pile foundation included post-grouting filling pile, CFG pile and lime soil backfilling construction. The project included buildings such as main workshop, control building, ash warehouse, air compressor room, cooling tower and chemical water room. The construction began on March 28, 2013 and was completed on October 02, 2013.
Post-grouting pile: Rotary drilling was used, and the concrete was poured into the second grouting
construction. The pile diameter was 700mm, the pile length was 30-35m, and the number of piles was 1,336.
CFG pile: The pile diameter was 400mm, the pile length was 13.5-15m, and the number of piles was 8,924.
The lime soil backfill construction was 24,454m3.
The project won the "2018 China Electric Power Quality Project Award" and "2018-2019 National Quality
Project Award". In addition, the double grouting at the side and bottom of the pile is adopted.
The grouting was very effective, and the various indexes of pile foundation testing met the design
requirements.
The No.3 residential building of Tongzhou District Printing Plant is located in the yard of
Wulidian Printing Plant. The foundation must be reinforced before it can meet the load
requirements of the upper building. The construction began on May 12, 1999 and was completed
on June 15, 1999.
The foundation is strengthened by cementing ash-slag pile and
plum-blossom pile. For non-load-bearing walls, pile length is 4-5m, and 1236 compaction
piles are constructed. The bearing capacity of composite foundation meets the design
requirement after the foundation is compacted and strengthened.
